Congratulations! to
Sean Gravolet, student of the University of New
Orleans' School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering,
who was awarded the Port of New Orleans Propeller Club Scholarship
during Spring 2011. The Propeller Club of the
United States, Port of New Orleans Scholarship is awarded
bi-annually to a deserving student of the University of New
Orleans' School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.
Its purpose is to promote, further and support an American Merchant
Marine to aid the development of river, great lakes and harbor
improvements. The award is supported by the Propeller Club,
Port of New Orleans, Women's Organization of the Propeller Club,
Port of New Orleans, the School of Naval Architecture and Marine
Engineering Steering Committee, and Mississippi River State
Pilots Association/Kenneth Scarborough Memorial.
Management of the Scholarship is overseen by the "Scholarship
Committee" of the Port of New Orleans Propeller Club.
The Scholarship Fund is supported by contributions from the
Port of New Orleans Propeller Club and its members, local businesses,
and private donations

February 14 and awarded in April (SAME luncheon)
Fall Scholarship Application Deadline:
September 22 and awarded in October (Gala)
